Eight aides of splinter Maoist group held: Jharkhand Police


JHARKHAND POLICE on Wednesday stated they have got arrested 8 aides of Peoples’ Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a splinter crew of the banned CPI(Maoist), in an operation spanning six days. They claimed to have seized fingers and ammunition and greater than Rs 64 lakh in money all through the operation.

The police recognized them as Nivesh Kumar, 32; Subham Poddar, 20; Dhruv Kumar Singh, 32; Amir Chand, 29; Aarya Kumar Singh, 19; Ujjuwal Kumar,18; Pravin Kumar, 35; and Subhash Poddar.

The police stated Aamir and Aarya had been first to be arrested on January 6 in Dhurwa, Ranchi. Sleeping baggage, moveable tents, PLFI pamphlets and Rs 3.5 lakh money at the side of two SUVs had been seized from them.

Ranchi SSP Surendra Kumar stated 3 different suspects – Nivesh, Subham and Dhruv – controlled to flee from the spot. A next seek at Nivesh Kumar’s place of abode in Ranchi resulted in the restoration of Rs 61.31 lakh in money, a 7.65 bore open pistol and numerous cartridges, the police stated.

“From Jharkhand, the police went to Delhi where they received a tip off that the accused had fled to Bihar via Uttar Pradesh. All three were arrested from Buxar district of Bihar and the police recovered 19 mobile phones, five Aadhaar cards… They carried a few images of modern and sophisticated weapons, there is a possibility that they might have been connected with gangsters,” a police commentary stated.

Three others – Ujjuwal, Pravin and Subhash – had been arrested in Ranchi. Ujjuwal labored in Khunti at a telecom corporate, the police stated.
